Presumptive pay of a post (IREC - 1306. (F.R. 9 (24) ) -
When used with reference to any particular railway servant, means the pay to which he would be entitled if he held the post substantively and were performing its duties; but it does not include special pay unless the railway servant performs or discharges the work or responsibility, in consideration of which the special pay was sanctioned.

Presumptive pay of a post. --The first part of the definition is intended to facilitate the use of the term in relation to a Government servant who has been absent from a post for some time but still retains lien on it.
